Allium 'Mount Everest1
Allium 'Mount Everest1

Allium is the Latin word for garlic.

With massive white heads, the Allium 'Mount Everest' develops into large clumps that can be divided every few years. However, they really don't like to get waterlogged, so add a little grit to the soil when you plant them.

The magnificent, spherical blooms of Allium 'Mount Everest' are up to 16cm across. Flowering in May and June, the flowers are followed by skeletal seed heads for a spectacular autumn display. Undemanding and easy to grow, these purple alliums are guaranteed to add the 'wow' factor to borders and they make excellent cut flowers.
