Allium globemaster' is the classic spherical Allium family member. Beautiful purple globe shaped flowers form umbels that 'dance' high above the flower beds on a leafless stem. The leaves at the base are linear and as with all of the Alliums, expect a garlic sent.
The starry flowers of globemaster form a beautifully organised mass within the umbel, commanding attention from people and wildlife, pollinators, butterflies will welcome this addition to your garden. The gladiator will keep giving, every few years clumps can be divided for sharing.
Add grit to the soil around as you plant your Allium bulbs to prevent waterlogging for best results.
